Just recently a friend of ours introduced us to Erin Hanson‘s work. No words discribe how much I love her style! She is amazing.
When I saw her brilliant “open impressionistic” style – a style she created and a name she coined – I was awe-struck. I knew I had to learn to paint with more color. Her work feels alive and joyous. I started searching on the internet for anything I could find to help me loosing up and open up.
Watching a few of Ian Robert‘s videos I decided to download one of his images and give it a try. This is a painting I did following his instruction using the image of his wife in their garden. I like this but I would like to be looser!
I will post again and show you my progress as I practice following the guidance offered by the above artists (mainly Ian Roberts, Malcolm Dewey, and Jed Dorsey… more to come!
Enjoy your own personal journey! ~ Nancy
